Advice about God Please!?

My good friend is having a hard time dealing with graduating high school, and he seems to also have a hard time finding a reason to believe in god. I can send him links to Websites that would explain Christianity and the idea that God exists, but i figured by showing him other peoples point of view, he might find it more helpful. Yahoo Answerer's, Please Explain why, God should always be a part of your life, and i will send him this link later.

Typical god botherer.

Someone is having problems so it must be because they don't believe in your fictional god.

Let them live their own lives, and make their own decisions.

If that means they decide they believe, then fine they believe, but what you are suggeting borders on harassment %26amp; brainwashing.
Stop tryna spread your religion; if he does not want to believe in God he shouldn't HAVE to. Everyone has stress in their life, religious or not! Do you honestly think having a belief in God is gonna make graduating any easier? He still has to do the work lol!

If he doesn't wanna believe in God, don't pressure him. Everyone has different perspectives, and when people try to change your opinions, it's really annoying. Just respect it.
i think that god should always be a part of your life because he is the one thats always there for you, he's there whenever you need to talk to someone, he wont ever judge you, he is always watching and caring for you, he can resolve any problems you have that not even the smartest person can figure out... he will always answer any questions that you ever have and guide you through any good or bad times and he will never leave your side. he can give you support, happiness, and ALWAYS make you more comfortable... n theres soooooo many more things why,,, but yea he is definetly a savior and no matter what i always know that i can go to him and spill my guts and i know that he's the only one that will not judge me , even if he knows i did wrong and will always try to help me. but prayer is defintely the KEY ... hopefully this will inspire him and will help with any questions/problems you have about God... na dif you want to learn a lot more you can go to church which will DEFINETLY inspire you... : )
God doesn't need to be a part of my life, but I definitely need Him to be.

Because without Him I would not take one breath. He is my Creator, my Savior, my only reliable Friend, my Mentor. Even if the whole idea presented in Scripture about God and salvation turned out to be wrong in the end--which it won't--my life would have been so much better for the values and character with which I lived it, by following the example God set in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ.

I need God in my life for hope; for decency; to make me a better person, a better neighbor, a better friend.

And I need to worship: It is Him I choose.
There is no reason whatsoever for anyone to be as gullible as to adopt a life of fantasy and delusion.

There are no real gods. They are all the products of mankind's imagination.

Accept reality into your life and live it to the full.
first your not going to change his mind no matter what answer anyone gives you. you can tell him many reasons why we need God but that is not going to change his mind. The best thing i can tell you is that tell him to read Matthew 7:7 and then pray to God and seek out God for God is willing to show that he is there. Trust me on this one.
First, I would like to say that I admire you greatly for trying to lead our brother back home!

All we can do is pray. That he opens his heart and his mind.

Read the scriptures to him, give him a Bible, But most importantly, be an example, be a Mature Christian Crusader. Show him how important God is in your life and how much He has done for you.

If you want I can talk with him, or you can email me to chat!

Take Care Bro! God Bless You!

If God doesn't exist, that would be really depressing. You live, then you die. The end.

If God does exist, then I existed before I was born, someone cares about me and what I'm doing, I have hope for the life of my soul after my body dies, if Christ really died for me and was resurrected, then I have hope that I will get back my body at some future date in a perfected state...and the list goes on.

Why God? Because it makes life worth living happily.
My suggestion is to give him or her a copy of the Bible. There are more than enough reasons in there. Read for yourself the Bible and give them a sheet of paper with your findings to read. Proof is in the pudding deary.

I was expecting AT LEAST one thumb down....
I've sent you a PM. I will try to help you and your friend, should you want me too. I used to be an agnostic, but my eyes were opened. Praise the Lord! Amen.
Not to be trite, but there is no reason why God should be a part of your life if you need convincing from Yahoo! Answers...
I hate it when people try to make others believe.

Let him find his own way.
By the time I reached age 18, I was emotionally in pain and had no idea what to do with myself and my life. My childhood was not good prep. for life and I didn't know what to do and finally began to be suicidal (due to abuse).

Long story short, I met some Christians who had peace and joy in their lives and a sense of purpose - they walked their talk!!!

I decided I wanted to know Jesus and I knew I needed big help. I asked God to rescue me - I didn't know much about prayer or churches. Jesus began to interact with me and help me. It's hard to put into words, but I began to have hope and my despair lifted. I had a source to help me in life. Knowing Jesus and beginning to learn the Bible gave me a sense of purpose and goals in life - PLUS, Jesus is full of life and fun and wonder - I loved being a Christian.

37 years later and I STILL love being a Christian and knowing Jesus. He is my source, my love, my goal, my guide, my friend, my teacher, my guardian. PLUS I have a place in his kingdom and a reason to exist.

Life does change after High School and it is a big adjustment. When it is time to take your life into your own hands, who do you turn to for the big decisions? What do you do when life throws you a curve ball? What do you do when you don't know what to do??? What do you do if your dreams die? What do you do if you don't know how to have a dream?

WHERE DO YOU TAKE YOUR QUESTIONS WHEN WHAT YOU KNOW IS NOT ENOUGH???

I have faced everything but my own death or the death of my spouse or children - and in it all Jesus has been there with me and/or helped me be there with someone else who needed help.
Wow what a thing to do for a freind, you are to be commended, now adays most won't give the time of day, much less try to be a witness, and that my freind will get you blessings overflowing.

My point of view- Today I see alot of people scurring through their lifes nonchalantly, only caring about them self, or ';what can I get out of it?'; in short they are self-centered.

I used to be that way... give me give me give me....

and the more I got the worse I felt. Then one day down in bolixi Ms. a fella came up to me and asked me if I knew Jesus... I told him yeah, I was church most time raised. then he asked me If I had a personal Relationship with him... I honestly couldn't answer...I had hide for so long... I was lost...so I made a decision... I desided to find out about this personal relationship ... boy what a wonderful, hard, blessed, soul search that was, and It took me many many years to finally figure it out.... WHEN I Trust God completely

he comes through for me, when I try to out give god, he blesses me more. When times are at there utmost worst, He stands by me , holds me up and comforts me. He is the truest of freinds, like yours here... my advice to your freind here... just test god, call on him to see if he is real, ask him to come into your heart and show you the way, and then listen for his answer, it might not be what you envision, but it will be the absolute best thing for you ! finally always give him the praise and honor that he deserves for doing it for you... you will be absolutely amazed at the blessings that will come into your life! then find a bible based church that is alive and growing

you see yourself growing and developing into the person god had always intended you to be, not perfect thats an illusion, but saved and a member of Jesus forever.

may God richly bless you in your endevores, and may your friend find grace and the love of Jesus.... always
