the best answer truly is to contact your son's speech therapist to find out what sounds he's working on at school. You'll want to do carryover tasks at home.

Keep in mind, he's 4 yrs. old. Spend about 4 minutes at a time doing copy cat type games that focus on the sound(s) he needs to improve. Then throughout your day with him, YOU model those sounds for him in your everyday speech. It's especially helpful to emphasize the target sound by increasing the volume or length of time it takes you to say it--for double duty, use simple words that have the target sound at the beginning of the word (it's easier for a child to identify.)

Last but not least, give lots of positive reinforcement when he does successfully produce the sound! Be encouraging even when he hasn't said it correctly while copying you--remember, you're encouraging his cooperation in this game.

Much success to you and your son.Advice about my son?
Buy some first words flash cards. I know he knows his first words but trust me lol. Go through and have him say each one and if he messes up have him repeat it. Also get him to say difficult words with alot of sounds like Mississippi. What got my daughter was Lollipop. Also rhymes are good and Dr. Seuss books that uses difficult words. You don't have to sit him down to do it. Like when you are in the car think of a random word and have him repeat it over and over again. If he has alot of difficulty as my daughter did at first have him watch your lips on how to say it.
Please contact your doctor. He or she will have the best ideas for this.
my son also had speech therapy, some of the advice i was giving was to repeat things back to him if he said it wrong i said it again until he picked the word up properly. also go through the alphabet with him find out what is weaknesses are i.e he might struggle on a certain letter which will throw things out of sequence. my son struggled on a couple of letters b being one of them he struggled with any word that had the letter b in, s was another and h. find his weak letters and work on them this will help him to say more words properly. when you are out and about point to words and ask what letters they are say them with him. give him confidence don't tell him of for saying things wrong give him courage and praise he will get through it. to get his concentration leave telly and music of things that will distract him give him 1-on-1 attention and reward him with a sticker chart or something similar.
TRY A WEBSITE CALLED WWW.STARFALL.COM
This website shows you how sounds are produced, lets you listen to each sound by it self, and in words:

http://www.uiowa.edu/~acadtech/phonetics鈥?/a>

just click on English and a new box will pop up, then click on the links on the top (which are different classes of sounds), click on the sound you want, and then click one of the play buttons when the picture pops up.

Also, your son's SLP may have some great ideas of sites that will be consistent with what your son is working on each week
Here are some things teachers recommended for my son. Suck jello or pudding through a straw, blow bubbles, blow a sheet of paper across the table. I know it sounds silly, but it somehow stregthens their tounge.
