I think it was said tongue-in-cheek. Another one he is said to have quoted was '; Anyone who doesn't like dogs or kids, can't be all that bad'; I'm a cat person, so I got a chuckle out of that one, but I don't dislike children.What do you think about this quote by the misogynist WC Fields? How does that make him a misogynist? This statement, in no way, professes hatred of women. But my guess is that you're one of those women who likes to point fingers and toss that word around loosely. Heaven forbid if he actually said something critical of women.





Obviously this advice is not the least bit practical or remotely solid. I don't know how you or anyone possibly could think it is, as opposed to a joke. I do think you like the part about castration, though.





I also think you are just trying to sound smart by using the word misogynist in a sentence and quoting W.C. Fields. Nice try.
Hollywood doesn't make them like Fields anymore. He knew the importance of having enough booze money:

To be fair, in Fields' time, women weren't exactly encouraged to make their own money. Still, he could have been a little less negative about it.
No. He would merely need a shrink, and in the long run it would be far more expensive.
