what should i do?I need some advice. about singing.?
If you love to sing, then SING! Having a singing voice is a gift and others are missing out because you are hiding it.

I've embarrassed myself about a billion times singing, but I don't regret any of it. I used to sing in my room along with the radio with my curling iron as my microphone...didn't think they could hear me....but they could. Oh well. I became a better singer because of it.

Do you have a place where you could sing? Church choir is a great place to start out.I need some advice. about singing.?
Well, i didn't start singing until my sophomore year in high school, and before that, my sisters said i had a horrible singing voice, but i tried out for a musical at my school, and i got a singing part. After that i go a lot of major parts, and even a choir scholarship. I didn't really think I could sing, but i found out i could. I guess what I'm saying is you never know until you've tried, so just do your thing! If that's what you like to do, go for it. If your still in school, try out for a musical or choir. It's worth it. A good way of showing off without actually showing off would be to do one of those karaoke things they sometimes have in malls... Make a cd and see what your parents think...
If you think you can sing %26amp; that is your passion then you have to express your talent.

The best audience will be your family as they are totally honest %26amp; very harsh as you describe.

Some people think they can sing but they are shocking, so peform infront of the family.

As a solo artist myself I always have my Mum or sisters listen to a song before I peform it, trust me it helps you in the end and they can provide tips on how to improve which ever song you are to peform.

You have to remember you are not only singing for yourself but for the public in general, that is ofcourse if your good enough to do so.

This business is very competitive %26amp; if your not willing to put yourself out there 150% then forget about it and move on.

Good Luck!

Sweetie,.. sing. Sing what makes you feel good... who cares? Singing is like poetry, if you feel it , you will convey it!!Take a song, any song, that you like, and belt it out like you wrote it! If you like the words, if it conveys what you feel, you will be just fine! I'm serious.... get your best Bud, and practice. You will be surprised at what you can do when you find the ';right song'; that makes you feel good... Don't be scared... I bet you will do better than you think!!! Try!!
if your family tells you the truth, then what have you to fear? you should go sing for a music teacher and get an honest critique from him/her
I think what you are saying is you want to get good at singing, in other words good enough to be in a band maybe?

Sing into a tape recorder with a microphone. practice singing in different keys and the scales are important. I play a guitar and these are important talents to have with a musical instrument the human voice is almost like an instrument so these seem good for singing as well. When you record your voice you hear how you really sound, if you don't realize this your voice sounds different to others than it does to you. Now here is something else this advice comes from my writing skills, if I write something and look at it after I write it, it looks great I can't find any flaws, prefect! But after I read it a few days later I am stunned to see mistakes I did not see before! So this is the same when we record, if we listen right after we are still on that ';YEAH BABY RIGHT ON!!!'; high! But listen to it a week later and now we are actually hearing it as it is not as we thought it was.

When you feel it is good enough, go out to open mike night at coffee shops. Maybe someone would let you sing a song with their band as a stand in. Start getting use to singing out, and if people clap for you, then you are on your way! :-D
You've been watching too much American Idol.

Sing! sing!! sing!!!

It's good for the soul (stress).
