Advice about Weightlifting.?

Hi, I started weight lifting Friday, and on Saturday my muscles were aching, then I done some weight lifting yesterday, but today my muscles don't ache does this mean i didn't work out properly?Advice about Weightlifting.?
What your talking about is DOMS (delayed onset of muscle soreness), basicly when you first start working out, or try something new your body's not use to, you will get these the next day (or soemtime two days).

After a while you will adapt and so will not feel the soreness. The soreness is not an indication that your working hard, the only indication is growing muscles.

when you start, measure around your thigh, calf, waist, chest, shoulders and arms. Then in a months time do it again and you will have a reference to how well your growth. Weight can be deceiving as it could be down to water retension and fat aswell.

Some aching is normal in the beginning...I've been weightlifting off and on for yrs and the pain is not 'normal' as your muscles beging to grow and expand they have more elasticity etc. When you do a harder workout and increase the weights you may experience some soreness, but even if you don't your body is still responding.
There are different types of aches. the intense, stiff, sore feeling you get the first few times you lift doesnt last. the new activity really hurts you those first few times, and then it dies down to a more dull ache that is common from working out. i dont think just because you dont have the intense soreness of that first time that it means you've failed. it is what it is. stick with your plan, whatever that is. you are going to have good days and bad, but the goal is to stick with it.
your body gets used to the exercise
