Hello,
I am a new graduated electrical engineer, and I am currently working in Dassault System and I do have an offer to work in Boeing seattle, WA, what you guys advice me to do?Can you guys advice me which offer i should take the salary is about the same?
Look at both job offers. Ask yourself how you really feel about the work in each one. Is it interesting, does it challenge you, do you think you'll have a feeling of accomplishment in doing the work?
In my experience as an engineer (over 40 years and retired now) I can say I've never really ';had a job.'; Yes, I did work and I was paid for it, but I didn't feel like I was working. I enjoyed the various things I had to do, never watched the clock or said ';I hate this job';, put in much of my own time getting things done because I wanted to.
Money can only buy you so much .... but job satisfaction, knowing you have made a contribution and a difference to the work .... that's priceless. Can you guys advice me which offer i should take the salary is about the same?
I would go for boeing..bigger brand name...
I've never heard of Dassault System. But Boeing is famous for hiring tons of people and laying off tons of people.
True that Boeing is an on and off again company. This is somewhat true of Dassault. Look at their history in Wikipedia.
My thought on large French companies is that they too are volatile.
Experience with either of these companies would be good to have on your resume, if you plan to stay in the aviation industry.
I would have no recommendation.
